Union members demonstrate their solidarity by ignoring public testimony from New England Citizens for Right to Work.
Over 100+ public employees attended house labor committee hearings this morning. Professors, Firefighters, Public School Teachers, Clerical, Office, Plumbers, Pipefitters were all represented this morning by various public employee unions, including SEA.
Members gathered in Concord’s Legislative Office Building to lobby state representatives, to kill numerous anti-union legislative efforts. Among bills presented by house reps include the ongoing effort to strip collective bargaining rights, remove agency fee clause, and order by the employer to accept reductions in heath care.
Happy New Year!
This protection for Home Care Workers is long overdue.
Many Home Care workers receive the right to be recognized as public employees though subsidized government voucher programs. Many workers receive extremely low wages for their tireless work, often regarded as degrading or menial.
Support Home Care Workers in solidarity of their struggle.
